PURPOSE: A method for receiving and transmitting the composite information of a terminal in the mobile communication system is provided so that a user can receive composite information, such as character information, melody information, picture information, etc., and transmit his previously stored composite information to a specific terminal. CONSTITUTION: Display and output for composite information is achieved by an information service format, comprising an SMS main parameter, an SMS sub parameter and a composite message. The SMS main parameter is composed of an SMS kind, a teleservice identifier, a destination address and a bearer data. The bearer data as the SMS sub parameter is composed of a message ID, a user data, a message center timestamp and a calling number. The user data of the SMS sub parameter is composed of a title part, a composite message quantity part, a composite message length, a composite message kind and a composite message data.
