An electronic device for starting and controlling a synchronous single-phase electric motor (10) with a permanent-magnet rotor (20) comprises a Hall-effect magnetic field probe (32) positioned in the vicinity of an air-gap opening (21) of a magnetic stator core (14), intended to receive the permanent-magnet rotor (20), in a position such as to sense, predominantly, the magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnets and, in a marginal manner, the flux generated by the alternating supply current of windings (16, 18) driving the magnetic stator core (14), and an electronic processor (40) which manages control of the power supply of said windings (16, 18) so as to allow starting of the said motor until the synchronism speed is reached. <IMAGE> |
