627,819. Loom shedding-mechanism SMITH H. July 23, 1947, No.. 19705. [Class 142 (i)] A heald shaft 1 for a loom for weaving is suspended by a stirrup A mounted on a sleeve B. The sleeve is held in engagement' with a plug D inside it by means of a spring clip C co-operating with slots b and d in the sleeve and plug. The plug is screwed into one end of a turn-buckle E, the other end of which 'is attached to a wire cable from an overhead shaft or dobby mechanism. When the plug is turned through 90 degrees, the spring clip is forced out of engagement with the slots in the plug which thus can be withdrawn to unharness the heald. |
