PURPOSE: An automatic transmission 4-2 down skip changing control method is provided to reduce excessive run-up occurring in the last stage of 4-2 down skip changing by supplying line pressure to a rear clutch. CONSTITUTION: A TCU(transmission control unit) outputs a duty control signal changing duty ratio to zero% with the elapse of time(60ms) outputting 100% of duty ratio to a drive unit, for certain time. By the duty control signal, the drive unit moves a solenoid valve complete left to supply the line pressure from an N-R(neutral-reverse) control valve to a fifth port of PCSV by intercepting a first port from a second port. The TCU outputs duty control signal changing duty ratio to Dka to the drive unit until a first shifting synchronous point is detected.
