PURPOSE: A motor fixing apparatus is provided to effectively absorb vibration and noise caused by a driving motor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a motor casing(319) and a wire member(329). The motor casing accommodates a driving motor, and has a circular groove(318) formed along a periphery of the casing. The wire member includes a ring portion(410), a leg portion(420), and a fixing portion(430). The ring portion firmly supports the motor casing, absorbs vibration caused by the driving motor, and is coupled to the circular groove of the motor casing. The leg portion is formed integrally with the ring portion and is extended downwardly from a lower end of the ring portion at a predetermined tilt. The fixing portion is formed integrally with the leg portion at a lower end of the leg portion in such a manner that the leg portion is fixed to a bottom of a housing of an indoor unit. The wire member has a plurality of puckered portions(412) for absorbing vibration from the driving motor. The wire member is coupled to the circular groove of the motor casing so as to support the motor casing with stability and effectively absorb vibration and noise caused by the driving motor.
