<p>The chuck (4) which grips the workpiece (6) is mounted on a support stub which is located inside a grip sleeve (3) on the end of the spindle (1). Corresponding grip wedge profiles on the stub and the inside of the sleeve secure the mounting in the selected position, after the eccentricity of the workpiece has been minimised using a gauge. Three sets of grips profiles are provided. The slope of the wedges is between 1 in 50 to 1 in 500, with saw-toothed profiles. A simple twist action secures the fitting.</p> |
