The invention concerns a device for positioning a protective and/or filtering element (18, 19) spaced apart from a patient's body part. It consists of a substantially rigid support (10) provided with two perforations (14, 15, 16 and 17) symmetrically arranged relative to a folding line (13) to define two flaps (11 and 12), the perforations being designed to receive the protective and/or filtering element when the flaps are folded back on each other along said folding line. The support (10) is in folded form of a frame comprising two protective elements. The frame is in the form of two rounded elements assembled by a linking arm. The invention is applicable to the human body.
