PURPOSE: A support spring is provided to compensate doming in a shadow mask due to thermal expansion and to prevent mask trembling and deformation due to external impact applied to the CRT. CONSTITUTION: A support spring is composed of a welding part(105) welded with side wall part of a support frame, a coupling part(109) having a coupling hole(108) for engaging with a stud pin, and a movable part(107) for connecting the welding part(105) and the coupling part(109). The movable part(107) is thicker in the welding part side than in the coupling part side, and has at least one cleavage(101). When the frame is expanded, the spring is diagonally bent to smoothly push the frame toward a panel. The position of the frame is raised so as not to drag the mask expanding due to thermal expansion. So, path change of electron beam according to doming can be compensated this way.
