PURPOSE: A shift memory is provided to shift image data to another addresses in the memory so as to horizontally and vertically shift the images displayed on a LCD panel. CONSTITUTION: A shift memory comprises a control register(1), an address generator(2), a command controller(3) and a memory(4). The control register(1) receives commands from a CPU. The address generator(2) receives a start command from the control register to generate address signals for the memory(4). The command controller(3) receives control commands from the control register to analyze the commands and generates control signals for operating the memory(4) in accordance with the commands. The memory(4) receives the control signals of the controller(3) and the address signals of the generator(2) to shift current data to corresponding address or bit.
