PURPOSE: A character or memo storing system is provided to read and store printed contents line by line or a user's memo for a user to underline an important printed contents, write a memo and make it easy remembering the underlined part or the memo. CONSTITUTION: A character or memo storing system comprises an image scanner(100), an image data processor(200) and an image display & a data addition device(300). The image data processor(200) includes a serial data input device(201), a temporary image memory(202), a CPU(203), a ROM(204) and a processed image storage memory(205). The serial data input device(201) stores the digital signals amplified or compared by the image scanner(100). The temporary image memory(202) receives the image data from the serial data input device(201). The CPU(203) compensates the imperfect image signals stored in the serial data input device(201). The image display & data addition device(300) includes an image data receiver(301), a keyboard(302), a CPU(303) and a data display(304).
