A pneumatic tire having an improved uniformity in a tire-wheel assembled state has a bead portion (3) closely fitted to a standard rim (2) having an inclined bead seat (6), a rounded concave corner portion (7) extending from the bead seat (6) and a flange (8) extending outward from the rounded concave corner portion (7) and having a curved portion (9). In this tire, the bead portion (3) has an expanded heel bringing about close fitting to the rounded concave corner portion (7) prior to contact between the curved portion (9) and the bead portion (3).
