PURPOSE: A device for generating a negative pressure is provided to improve performance of a vehicle through supplying a sufficient amount of negative pressure. CONSTITUTION: By driving an engine of a vehicle having a negative pressure generating apparatus, a piston(3), an intake valve(11), and an exhaust valve(13) are operated. Thus, air in an intake port is sucked for exhausting to an exhaust valve(9). Herein, negative pressure is generated in a conduit through an intake port(7). Thus, the negative pressure is supplied to a brake booster. Moreover, the air exhausted to a conduit(17) through an exhaust port(9) in an exhaust stroke passes through a filter(21) of a wet-type filter(19) for filtering foreign material. Then, the air is discharged to an exhaust manifold(15). Herein, increased level of oil by increase of amount of foreign material operates a filter replacing time sensor(23) for supplying power to an alarming lamp. |
