PURPOSE: A method is provided to forcibly and rapidly cooling a welding bead for increasing a mechanical property. CONSTITUTION: In case of a tube shaped welding parent metal, a coolant passes through the tube at a high speed to rapidly cool a welding bead. At that time, carbonic acid liquid, nitric liquid or a mixture with cooling water and solid carbonic powder is used as the coolant. In case of a bar shaped welding parent metal, a welded portion forms a cooling hole to pass the coolant. Thereby, the welded portion has a constitutional property and a fine structure for an increased mechanical property.
