PURPOSE: An airtight cap is provided to easily open and safely seal a liquid container for paint and chemicals. CONSTITUTION: An airtighting cap(1) is composed of a convex face(4) forming a spinning boss(5), a pressurizing portion(2), a force delivering wall(3), a force delivering plate(6), an inner wall(9) and an outer wall(7). On stepping on the pressurizing portion by foot, force is delivered outward and the outer wall is widened. Thus, a hanging protrusion(8) is separated from an outer circumferential groove(11) of an airtight container(10). The container is easily uncovered without damage.
