PURPOSE: A cell selection method of a digital television is provided to enable selection of program cells by simply manipulating numeric keys instead of using a mouse. CONSTITUTION: A cell selection method of a digital television includes following steps. At first, a specific selection number is assigned to each program cell which is displayed on an electronic program guide(EPG) screen. When a selection number is input for the program cell which is displayed on the EPG screen, corresponding program is selected. The selection numbers are not changed while program titles are changed during page up/down process. A number input during an EPG screen display is detected as a program cell selection number, and the number input during a program is detected as a channel number input.
