PURPOSE: An edible plant extract showing macrophage-activating ability is provided, which is harmless to human body, shows superior macrophage-activating ability than existing macrophage-activator using gluco-lipid. CONSTITUTION: A process for the preparation of edible plant extract showing macrophage-activating ability comprises of: eliminating enzyme activity by boiling an edible plant selected from Curcuma zedoaria, Allium tuberosum L., Pteridium aquilinum at 100°C for 5minutes; pulverizing at 7,000rpm for 20minutes with a homogenizer; centrifuging the pulverized reagent at 5,000rpm for 30minutes, and freeze-drying the supernatant to get the fraction 1; freeze-drying the precipitates, and extracting with hexane for 2hrs; centrifuging, concentrating, and freeze-drying the extract to get fraction 2; and extracting the precipitates with acetone, methanol, distilled water in order for 2hrs, centrifuging, concentrating, and freeze-drying to get fraction 3,4,5 systematically.
