PURPOSE: An electron gun is provided to achieve an improved focus performance by arranging a focus electrode having a common aperture of large diameter. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun comprises a cathode, a control electrode(G1), a screen electrode(G2), a plurality of focus electrodes(G30,G40) and a final accelerating electrode(G50) constituting an auxiliary lens and a main lens, an external electrode member(G30-2) having a focus electrode which is arranged to face the screen electrode so as to form a pre-focus lens, and an internal electrode member(G30-1) installed within the external electrode member and which has three independent electron beam passing holes of small diameter. The focus electrode of the external electrode member has a single electron beam passing hole of large aperture through which three electron beams commonly pass.
