PURPOSE: A power off 4-3 down changing control method is provided to improve a shift quality by minimizing a juder. CONSTITUTION: Speed of a turbine, an output port for outputting rotational power from an engine(10) torque-converted via a torque converter(20) is detected and inputted to a transmission control unit(30). A travel state sensing unit(40) detects vehicle speed, throttle opened degree and temperature of a transmission and inputs to the transmission control unit with corresponding electric signals. The transmission control unit decides the general travel state of a vehicle and outputs a signal of duty pattern for controlling hydraulic pressure by the data of a predetermined map table. Thus, a hydraulic system(50) is driven.
