PURPOSE: A system for calculating fare of a pay telephone in a taxi using a taximeter is provided to exactly calculate the fare of a pay telephone mounted in the taxi and display the fare, thereby providing a convenience to a user. CONSTITUTION: The system for calculating a fare of a pay telephone in a taxi(40) using a taximeter comprises a wireless pay telephone(10) connected with a radio communication network, a fare calculating portion connected with the wireless pay telephone by a communication port, and a taximeter(30) connected with an inputting and outputting port of the fare calculating portion. In the system, the fare calculating portion comprises a central processing unit for treating data through the communication port, a flash ROM memory and RAM memory for outputting and inputting the data to/from the central processing unit and storing the data, and the inputting and outputting port for outputting and inputting the data to/from the taximeter. The calculated fare of the pay telephone is added with a taxi fare and then displayed on the taximeter.
