PURPOSE: A method for sensing eccentric amount in washing machine is provided to control the vibration of a washing bath by sensing the eccentricity of the bath during dewatering process, thereby decreasing dewatering initialization time and preventing the damage of internal parts. CONSTITUTION: A method for sensing eccentric amount in washing machine comprises steps of: initializing a dewatering process while sustaining the speed of a washing bath after accelerated till a constant speed; sensing the eccentricity of laundry nonuniformly distributed with the washing bath; stopping the dewatering process in accordance with the sensed results; and performing a main dewatering process by accelerating the dewatering process. The method comprises further a step deciding whether the eccentricity in the initializing step is within a limited range. |
