PURPOSE: Loess powders for red tide control and preparation thereof is provided to remove the red tide in a short time and protect the submarine ecosystem. CONSTITUTION: The loess powder for red tide control is characterized by comprising 80-98wt.% of loess powder containing 40-45wt.% of SiO2, 25-35wt.% of Al2O3 and 14-20wt% of Fe2O3, and 2-20wt% of submarine ore powder as an aid material containing 70-80wt% of SiO2 and 10-20wt% of Al2O3. The loess powder is acquired by the following steps: preparing loess turbid solution, in which loess is collected in Yongnam-myeon, Tongyeong-Si, Gyeongsangnam-do; sieving to get smaller than 43 micrometer of particles; drying at 1150°C; grinding to be 10.8 micrometer of particle size. The submarine ore powder, sericites, is acquired by grinding to 43 micrometer in size after drying at 120°C.
