ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY OF ELECTRON GUN FOR COLOR CRT

PURPOSE: An electrode assembly of an electron gun for a color CRT is provided to prevent the distortion of electron beams passing through electron lens by improving spherical aberration of the electron lens and to enhance the resolution of the CRT by adopting the improved electron lens. CONSTITUTION: A forming portion of large diameter has through-holes for large diameter electron beams. A forming portion of small diameter is inserted with a predetermined distance from the forming portion of large diameter and has small diameter through-holes(32HR,32HG,32HB) for separate electron beams. Two electrodes(31,32) apply voltages different with each other. The small diameter through-holes for separate electron beams which are positioned in the center of those applied with lower potential have the shape of an ellipse. The small diameter through-holes for separate electron beams which are positioned in the center of those applied with higher potential have the shape of an ellipse.
