METHOD FOR FORMING BLACK MATRIX OF LCD

PURPOSE: A method for forming black matrix of LCD is provided to simply and precisely form black matrixes on a bottom substrate, thereby preventing the degradation of aperture rate and contrast due to alignment failure. CONSTITUTION: A method for forming black matrix of LCD comprises steps of: forming a TFT, a protect film, a contact hole and reflector type pixel electrodes on a glass substrate and then coating a black matrix layer having negative photoresist film characteristics; performing a rear exposure process using the pixel electrodes instead of mask; and removing portions of the black matrix layer in which didn't become cross-linked by using development process.
