PURPOSE: A method for selecting an external input source is provided to display a selectable external input source in one part of a screen in an index picture, so as to enable the external input source to be easily confirmed and selected. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer(400) checks whether an information key is inputted and source information is selected. If an information selection key is inputted, the microcomputer(400) displays a selectable external input source and a source information picture where a cursor is displayed. The microcomputer(400) selects a desired external input source with a cursor up/down key in the source information picture. If a decision key is inputted, the microcomputer(400) erases the source information picture and reproduces the selected external input source.
