PURPOSE: A method of constructing an electric pole and a support thereof are provided to make easily construct the electric pole between a footway and a roadway by securing a space enough to walk. CONSTITUTION: A method of constructing an electric pole includes the first step of forming a burying space(14) with reference to a sewer pipe(13) laid along a boundary area between a roadway(11) and a footway(12). In the second step, the burying space(14) is filled with concrete(15). In the third step, a supporting pipe(2) and a plate for supporting the electric pole(16) are laid into the concrete(15). In the fourth step, the burying space(14) is filled with concrete(15). And, in the fifth step, the electric pole(16) is inserted into the supporting pipe(2) and the electric pole(16) is fixed to the supporting pipe(2).
