PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a male and a female connector from being fitted together in a wrenched condition. SOLUTION: A male housing 20 is furnished with a major hood part 23 around a male terminal accommodation part 21 accommodating male terminal metal fitting 31 in the condition that a tab 32 is protruded ahead while a female housing 10 is equipped with a minor hood part 13 around a female terminal accommodation part 11 accommodating female terminal metal fitting in such a way as capable of being fitted between the male terminal accommodation part 21 and major hod part 23. For ribs 40 are provided upright on the upper and lower edges of the peripheral surface of the minor hood part 13 in positions near the corners of the edges, and the inside surface of the major hood part 13 is provided in the corresponding position with a groove in which the ribs 40 are inserted tightly. The over-surface of the major hood part 23 of the male housing 10 is provided with a swollen portion 26 in which a lock arm 27 is accommodated, and there a recess 45 is formed on the side with the fitting end.
