PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To roll up a constant quantity of cleaning web during a cleaning operation even when a large quantity of the cleaning web is rolled up to a wind up shaft in the case where a surface of a fixing roll is cleaned by having the cleaning web rolled out from a feeding shaft come into a sliding contact with a periphery surface of the fixing roll and then the cleaning web utilized for the cleaning is rolled up to the roll up shaft. SOLUTION: In this device, a transmission roll 11 is brought into pressurized contact with an outer periphery surface of the cleaning web 6 rolled up to the roll up shaft 8. Then, at the time of the cleaning operation, the transmission roll 11 is rotationally driven for a specified angle and the cleaning web 6 is rolled up to the roll up shaft 8 with frictional force generated between the transmission roll 11 and the cleaning web 6.
