<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fixability improver composition for an electrophotographic toner having a wide fixing temperature range by using a wax component having a dual-phase microphase-separated structure consisting of a continuous phase component and a dispersed phase component present in the continuous phase. SOLUTION: The fixability improver composition comprises a wax component having a dual-phase microphase-separated structure consisting of a continuous phase component C and a dispersed phase component D present in the continuous phase. These waxes C and D are incompatible with each other at their phase transition temperatures or below and have the peaks of the quantity of the heat of melting measured with a differential scanning calorimeter at different temperatures. The difference between the peak temperatures is 5-100 deg.C, preferably 10-85 deg.C. The waxes C and D may be partly or entirely modified and are selected from the group comprising mineral waxes, petroleum waxes, synthetic hydrocarbons, higher fatty acids, higher alcohols and higher fatty acid amides.</p> |
