PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new canister storage facility excellent in cooling efficiency in the case of storing canisters. SOLUTION: A long storage space S extended vertically is formed inside a mound M banked under-ground or on the ground, an exhaust passage 1 and a cooling air passage 2 are formed respectively in upper and lower sides of the storage space S, a frame 4 having a circulation passage 3 extended vertically is stored inside the space S, and plural canister storing cylinders 5 are provided to be freely circulation-movable along the circulation passage 3. Flow of cooling air is smoothened by this constitution to efficiently cool thereby canisters stored vertically inside the storage space S.
