PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve which can effectively prevent reduction of an injection flow amount due to icing of the an injection hole, irrespective of attachment angle of a fuel injection valve, and improve engine startability at a low temperature. SOLUTION: An inner diameterϕD surrounding an injection hole 14a has a skirt portion 1a ranging betweenϕ5 andϕ10 mm. In respect to the skirt portion 1a, the formula 0.5<=L<=d/tanθis satisfied, where L denotes height of the skirt portion 1a, (d) denotes the distance from the lowermost portion of an inner peripheral surface of a skirt portion 12a to the nearest edge of the injection hole 14a,θdenotes the maximum spraying outer angle of the fuel injected from the injection hole 14a. In addition, the formula 1.3<=d<=D/2 is satisfied, where d is the distance, D is an inner diameter.
