PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running and operating mechanism for a passenger vehicle type working machine, equipped with constitution for preventing unprepared movement, and self-travelable by a traveling device even in an unelectrified condition. SOLUTION: In a running and operating mechanism for a passenger vehicle body for self-traveling between both side ridges across a tea ridge, by right and left crawler travel devices equipped on both the right and left sides of a vehicle body frame with an engine as a power source; a hydraulic circuit switch 51 is provided which is controlling the electrification for opening/closing controlling means for an oil path to an oil hydraulic pump, one of oil feeding means to a hydraulic motor equipped in a crawler device other than a starting switch 50 of an engine. An ignition switch and the switch 51 can form an oil feeding path to the hydraulic motor by the oil path opening/closing controlling means, by making the switch 50 operable after operating the switch 51, and also returning the switch 51 to an initial condition after operating the switch 50 to start the engine.
