PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag formed with a light flame repellent with good heat resistance. SOLUTION: This air bag is provided with a flame repellent near an inflator mounting opening, and the flame repellent has base cloth composed of fabrics made from fiber yarns of 400 denier or less with 2000 or more of cover factor and comprises a heat resistant elastomer giving surface formed by giving a heat resistant elastomer to the base cloth from 5% to less than 15% of base weight thereof, wherein the base weight is 210 g/m2 or less and melting time at radiating hot air of about 300 deg.C to the heat resistant elastomer giving surface is 2 seconds or more.
