System and method for remotely processing multimedia data

A system for remotely processing multimedia data that includes a remote processor to process multimedia data provided under the control and at the command of a central controller to which the remote processor is coupled. The multimedia data are processed by a video processor in accordance with instruction data also transmitted to the remote processor by the central controller. The processed data is subsequently displayed on a video display. A motion detector assembly may also be included in the system so that processing and display of the multimedia data is initiated when motion is detected in proximity to the display. Successful processing may be verified by including a data logging device into the system. The data logging device generates a log data signal indicative of whether the multimedia data is successfully processed by the video processor according to the instruction data.
