PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power cord excellent in heat resistance and insulating performance capable of preventing tracking inside and outside a plug. SOLUTION: The whole construction approximately of a plug 2 to constitute a power cord 1 is formed from a thermoplastic resin, so that this is excellent in the heat resistance, compared with polyvinyl chloride according to the conventional technique and unlikely to have tracking, and it is possible to prevent impairing the insulating performance both the inside and outside of the plug 2. Because the root of plug blades 3 is covered with a thermoplastic resin, occurrence of tracking is not likely between the forefront of the plug 2 and the plug blades 3 even if foreign matter is adhered to the forefront of the plug 2 and the root of the plug blades 3 when the plug 2 is being formed, and it is practicable to preclude the insulating performance from being degraded.
