FILE INPUT/OUTPUT SYSTEM AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high-speed input/output(I/O) of a file and easiness of file operation at the same time by making it possible to make access to a same hard disk from both a file system suitable for speeding up an I/O and a file system suitable for file operation. SOLUTION: File operation is eased by using a file I/O system 1 which inputs/ outputs files to/from a hard disk array 8 having a same recording format and is provided with a file information referring table permitting to be referred to and updated from both of a file system 4 conforming to the standard and a high-speed input/output file system 2 which are differing in the features.
