PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine allowing a user to easily take out washed articles from the washing tub and preventing articles to be washed from being gathered in one side of the washing tub at the time of washing and dehydrating. SOLUTION: The washing tub 31 of this washing machine is disposed to incline at a prescribed angle toward the front. A water filling port 5a is formed off to the rear along the rim of the upper opening 3a of the washing tub 3. Water poured from the filling port 5a is spouted down on articles to be washed in the rear in the washing tub 3, collected on the bottom of the washing tub, then soaks into articles to be washed in the front in the washing tub. Therefore, all the articles to be washed can be wetted evenly.
