PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat sewage simply and efficiently so as to obtain conditions fitted to discharge. SOLUTION: Sewage flowing in an inflow tank 2 is supplied to a first treatment tank 5 through a supply passage 4 by a pump 3 and a part of sewage is refluxed to the inflow tank from the supply passage for the purpose of stirring and activated carbon is supplied to the sewage flowing in a second treatment tank 12 from the first treatment tank under stirring and a flocculant is supplied to the sewage flowing in a third treatment tank 16 from the second treatment tank under stirring and the sewage is supplied to a sedimentation tank 21 from the third treatment tank to discharge clarified water.
