PURPOSE: A method for collecting a traffic information is provided to collect a traffic information of a high reliability with reducing a traffic occupation time(or bandwidth), and to enhance accuracy of the traffic information. CONSTITUTION: A traffic information collecting device measures(201) traffic information data. The measured traffic information data is stored(202) in a storage space of the traffic information collecting device. The traffic information collecting device analyzes(203) the stored traffic information data, and generates(204) traffic information. The traffic information is transmitted(205) to the traffic information control center from the traffic information collecting device. Thereby, highly reliable traffic information is obtained.
