SOLUTION: The illuminator 2 is a back light type to be disposed on the back side of a liquid crystal display panel 3. The illuminator 2 is equipped with a light source 4 and a reflector 8, and the light source 4 is disposed near the one end of the reflector 8. The reflector 8 is formed as parabolically curved in an approaching direction to the liquid crystal display panel 3 with the distance from the light source 4.
