PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate uneven heating workmanship of an object to be heated in a high frequency heating device by varying the distribution of microwaves in the heating chamber. SOLUTION: A high frequency heating device is composed of a high frequency wave generating means 11, a heating chamber 13 to store an object to be heated, a turntable 14 whereon the object heated is placed, a turntable support 15 to support the turntable 14, a first driving means 16 to rotate the support 15, an aperture 18 provided in a wall surface 19 to form the heating chamber 13, a groove 20 ending at the aperture 18, an impedance varying means 21 to vary the impedance of the aperture 18 provided in the groove 20, and a second driving means 22 to drive the means 21, whereby the distribution of the microwaves is changed by disturbing the high frequency current in the wall surface 19 of the chamber 13 by the means 21, and thereby unevenness in the heating of the object can be eliminated.
