PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing plate for a flexible printed board by which breakage of the flexible printed board can be prevented and increase in the number of part items and manufacturing steps can be suppressed. SOLUTION: This reinforcing plate 12 formed of a glass material is provided with an opening 12a and is placed, in response to the placing position of a part to be mounted on a flexible printed board 10. By bonding the reinforcing plate 12 of the glass material to the rear of the flexible printed board 10, in such a way that a part 10c in which the flexible printed board needs to be bent and the mounted part 11 are excluded, parts a and b of the flexible printed board 10 are reinforced, and the part 10c requiring bending can be bent because the reinforcing plate is not placed.
