BATTERY-POWERED GAS LEAK ALARM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery-powered gas leak alarm of small power consumption by using a magnetic inverting element as a gas leak display. SOLUTION: A gas sensor 23 outputs a gas density signal (b) to a control circuit 22 in response to a request signal (a) that is outputted from the circuit 22. The circuit 22 compares the gas density outputted from the sensor 23 with the reference density that is set in a memory 22m. When the former density is higher than the latter one, the gas leak signals are outputted to a 2nd magnetic inverting element 23b, an external output part 24 and a buzzer 25. The element 23b which received the gas leak signal is turned so that its surface orange color is seen. The circuit 22 also detects the capacity of a battery 21 and performs the switching so as to show a yellow color on the surface of a 1st magnetic inverting element 23a when the capacity of the battery 21 is sufficient or to show a black color on the element 23a when the capacity of the battery 21 is deficient.
