PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the emitting amt. and speed of the recording liquid droplet emitted from each emitting orifice. SOLUTION: An ink jet recording head has a plurality of liquid emitting orifices, a plurality of liquid flow channels communicating with the respective emitting orifices in order to supply a liquid to the emitting orifices and a heater board 11 provided with a plurality of heating elements 13 applying emitting energy to the liquid charged in the liquid flow channels. The end surface 11a of the heater board 11 is brought into close contact with an orifice plate having emitting orifices formed thereto under pressure. The heating elements 13 are arranged so as to become long in the distance from the end surface 11a as going toward both side end parts from the central part of the heater board 11 along the lateral direction of the end surface 11a.
