PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly and smoothly stop a hook at a prescribed position when winding up the hook at a high speed. SOLUTION: This device detects the position of a hook 25, gradually reduces the hook winding-up speed at a definite deceleration according to a predetermined table defining relation between hook positions and speed command values when the hook position reaches a deceleration start position, the hook 25 is wound up at a constant speed when the hook 25 reaches a deceleration completion position, and the hook 25 is stopped when the hook 25 reaches a stop position.
