PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the oil/water separation treatment of an oil-containing drain from a civil engineering construction site, a restaurant or a kitchen at a low cost by providing a flock forming tank and a flock separating tank which is equipped with an upper center well and a lower sedimentation tank. SOLUTION: Turbid water 3a contained in an untreated water tank 3 is sent into a stirring tank 1b by means of a conveying pump 4a and then is stirred together with a flocculating agent to be charged from a charging machine 1a, with the help of a stirrer 6a. Thus a chemical reaction between the turbid water 3a and the flocculating agent takes place to obtain a flock- containing water. This flock-containing water is sucked using a sand pump 4b to be transferred into a center well 10 of a flock separating tank 2 through a hose 5b. In the center well 10, both water and flocculating agent are again stirred by a stirrer 6b to allow the flock heavier than the water to sediment and in turn, are discharged into a sedimentation tank 2a from a lower discharge hole 10b. The flock containing an oil content lighter than the water is discharged into a place encircled by a buoyant recovery frame 12 through an intermediate discharge hole 10a. After that, this flock is discharged into a flock storage tank 14.
