A system and method for maintaining fully-replicated registries in an electronic network (110) comprises a local registry (412) that generates a remote update message (820) in response to the addition of a new software element (812) on the electronic network (110). The local registry (412) then broadcasts the remote update message (820) to all remote registries (822) in the electronic network (110). Each of the remote registries (822) may then perform an update procedure to incorporate a unique element registration corresponding to the new software element (812). The present invention thus maintains fully-replicated registries across the electronic network (110) to facilitate and expedite remote messaging processes.
