PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular door lock ensuring the security of a parked vehicle, and preventing an occupant left inside a cabin from being locked in while parking the vehicle, and also provide a door locking method. SOLUTION: In locking a door of a parked vehicle, only a normal locking condition is set by turning on a reduce-guard switch when an occupant is left behind in a cabin. When no occupant is left behind in the cabin by the detection of an invasion sensor or a seating switch, a deadlock condition is set. On the other hand, when the occupant is left behind in the cabin, the deadlock condition is not set, but only the normal lock condition is done. |
