An apparatus (10) for providing automated processing of raw material of a rotary cutting blade (20) comprises a cutting unit comprising a blanking section (12) that is configured for receiving and processing a rotary cutting blade (20) having a radius of curvature associated therewith, a feeding unit (16) for providing controlled transfer of the rotary cutting blade (20) to the cutting unit, and one or more guide units (14, 18) for guiding the rotary cutting blade (20), wherein the cutting unit, feeding unit, and guide units are arcuately disposed relative to each other based on the radius of curvature of the rotary cutting blade. In addition, one or more sensing devices (22, 24) are provided for detecting desired locations on one or more edges of the rotary cutting blade (20) so as to provide precision cutting and processing of the rotary cutting blade. |
