<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase comparator circuit and a phase adjustment circuit that is immune to the effect of an external noise such as a noise generated from other circuit or a fluctuation of a power supply voltage. SOLUTION: A phase comparator circuit is configured by connecting a plurality of delay circuit units 101-105. The delay circuit unit 101 consists of delay elements 1011, 1012 through which a logical signal is propagated, a comparison element 1013 that detects logical values of the logic signals propagated through them and compares them, and propagation control elements 1014, 1015 that control propagation of the logic signals depending on the comparison result. A signal to be compared 106 is propagated from the delay circuit unit 101 to the unit 105 and a reference signal 107 is propagated from the unit 105 to the unit 101. Then a comparison element 1033 of a specific delay circuit unit, e.g. 103 detects coincidence of a phase between the signal to be compared and the reference signal. Furthermore, depending on the result of detection controls propagation control elements 1034, 1035 to suppress the propagation of the signal to be compared and the reference signal.</p> |
