<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a thin film semiconductor device which can reduce off-leak current without reducing on-state current, and a liquid crystal display which has enhanced displaying performance. SOLUTION: This thin film semiconductor device has a second thin film transistor 19 serially connected to the source and drain sides of a first thin film transistor 18. The second thin film transistor 19 is turned on for at least a part of on-state period of the first thin film transistor 18, and the second thin film transistor 19 is turned off during the off-state period of the first thin film transistor 18 while the gate of the second thin film transistor 19 is electrically insulated from other portion so that the gate is in a floating state. The liquid crystal display uses this thin film semiconductor as an active element.</p> |
